Multi Story is a travelling installation of illuminated box portrait dioramas which pairs twelve Cornwall based artists with twelve local people who were born outside the UK but who now make their home in Cornwall. Through a shared process, forging new relationships between artists and collaborators, each box has been devised to celebrate that person’s unique identity, collectively illustrating the diversity which enriches our community and demands to be more widely celebrated in a world where people are not always respected, listened to or understood. Through both the artists and collaborators the installation finds its roots in 17 different countries .
It's About You is a sculptural work that explores Violet’s personal lived experience as a trans person who left Palestine to study and build a life in the UK. Glass is used to represent both fragility and transformation, reflecting the fluidity of gender and the spaces beyond fixed definitions. Rings symbolise identity, continuity, and the cycles of life, growth, and self-discovery. At the centre, an orb represents the true self: non-corporeal, ever-shifting, and impossible to fully define. Bound within physical structures, it reflects the tension between inner identity and the constraints imposed by the body and society.
